Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games have announced the next instalment in the open-world racing series, Forza Horizon 6.
Announced with a short and sweet trailer at Tokyo Game Show, it was revealed that the setting for the sixth Horizon game will be Japan. Having already visited locations such as the US, Southern Europe, the UK, Mexico, and Australia, the Horizon Festival will make its next stop in the Land of the Rising Sun. While this brief teaser doesn’t give us much to go on, showing little more than a workshop with a killer view of Mount Fuji, we can assume that Horizon 6 will follow in the series tradition of creating a map that condenses the most iconic parts of the country down into an explorable map.
The trailer gives us a vague 2026 release window for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and a post on Xbox Wire confirms that Horizon 6 will also be headed to PS5 “post-launch.”
