Call Of Duty Games On Xbox Game Pass May Be Imminent According To Brazil

International storefronts with loose lips

An interest message has appeared for an Xbox gamer when they attempted to purchase a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, with a warning mentioning that they were attempting to a buy a game that is included for free as part of “their subscription”.

The message was discovered by Tinosaurorex and shared on their social media feed, with the message displayed in the Xbox Brazil storefront:

The full message is displayed in Portuguese, displaying the following:

“Você recebe este item gratuitamente com sua assinatura de jogos! Continue para finalizar a compra e poder usá-lo para sempre!”

When translated to English, the message reads:

“You receive this item for free with your game subscription! continue to checkout and you can use it forever!”

Effectively showing a warning that technically this game could be played for free, however a full purchase will guarantee permanent access to such a title. While the image is making the rounds and has plenty of detractors, it is a curious thing to try and bamboozle people with – usually internet fakery is a little more engaging, or at least electrifying.

This isn’t even the first thing to be casually dropped from the Brazilian side of the gaming sphere, so by all means keep your grain of salt on hand – but perhaps not immediately in your mouth. Older Call of Duty games coming to Game Pass doesn’t seem that far of a stretch, especially considering the imminent closure of Microsoft’s purchase of Activision.

How does this sit with you? Does it look legit? Are you open to jumping on to some older CoD titles? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
