Darksiders Genesis Reintroduces Us To The Horseman Known As War

Say G’day to War, the Rider of the Red Horse

As we jet closer to the release of Darksiders Genesis, We are definitely in for some snazzy marketing material.

THQ Nordic dropped this delightful trailer today, to get you up to speed on the series first protagonist – The Horseman known as War. If you have a burning desire to see what a big honking sword and a whole lot of martial prowess will get you, take a squiz:

The video does a brilliant job of showcasing what the master of conflict is capable of – being an avatar of destruction, particularly with the name WAR, comes with some perks. Wrathful boy indeed.

He is looking particularly fierce, though he did look fantastic during the events of Darksiders 1:

The video even has some neato lore to reveal for the game, telling us when this Darksiders prequel takes place:

In Darksiders Genesis you can choose to play either War or his brother Strife, and head into combat side by side in two player cooperative mode. The story takes place before the events of the original game when Lucifer, the enigmatic and deceptive demon king, plots to upset the Balance by granting power to master demons throughout Hell. If you are a melee type of gamer, War is your (gauntlet) left-hand.
