Global gaming lifestyle event DreamHack will once again be happening in Melbourne in 2024, the event’s organisers ESL FACEIT Group announced, with tickets going on sale on Thursday, March 14 at 4pm AEDT.
Taking place at Melbourne Park on April 26–28, DreamHack will have plenty for everyone, including video games, cosplay, esports tournaments, and content creators on display, as well as an epic bring-your-own-computer LAN tournament. Furthermore, this year, winners of DreamHack’s cosplay competitions will receive qualification into the Extreme Cosplay Gathering in Europe.
Punters can get a three-day pass for $99, while those looking to bring their rig to the LAN party are looking at $180 for the weekend. Tickets will go on sale via Ticketek.
In further exciting news for DreamHack, Melbourne has been confirmed as the event’s destination for the next five years. Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos had this to say about the announcement. “We’re thrilled to secure DreamHack in Melbourne for the next five years because it brings tens of thousands of gaming and esports fans from around the world into the city to enjoy our unique hospitality, energy and atmosphere.”
