High On Life’s Best Character Is Getting Their Very Own Terrifying DLC

Think body horror, but you start off with a horrible body

High On Life was a fever dream of a game – and somehow it has managed to showcase a DLC offering that takes things even further into the realm of weird. It seems to focus on the fantastic character of Knifey, voiced by our very own Aussie legend Michael Cusack.

First of all, High On Knife is an excellent name for the DLC – but the actual teaser seems to suggest that it’s going to be a balls-out pseudo horror experience. Well, as horror as you can make it considering the sheer goofiness of the comedy; the most terrifying part of the trailer sees the player get flicked like a booger:

Regarding the friendly guns of the High on Life world, we see both some old faces – and some new faces too! At least two new gatliens are confirmed to appear and shake up the gunplay. Will these new living boomsticks be useable in the regular game, I wonder?

There is also a very distinct audio queue of a chainsaw at the endscreen, with no visuals to explain what is actually going on. Mark my words, I predict that we will see a living, talking chainsaw during that gameplay experience. Is it a villain from the past of Knifey? Who can really say, the original High on Life narrative had twists that you’d never predict in a million years – if only because they were so absurdly off the wall they bordered on demented.

When is High on Knife coming out? They say it will be during the US fall, so sometime after September begins.
