It’s No Dino Crisis But FEROCIOUS Might Be The Dinosaur Game You’ve Been Waiting For

There is even a playtest for you to give it a crack

There is a disappointing lack of good Dinosaur games these days.

Many of us pine for a Resident Evil 4-style remake of Capcom’s classic Dino Crisis – but at this rate we may end up as extinct as the dinosaurs themselves before anything manifests.

But, if you want some modern shooty fun that includes some scaly prehistoric beasts, why not take a squiz at FEROCIOUS, with this conveniently dropped gameplay trailer:

Looking like equal parts Far Cry and Jurassic Park, FEROCIOUS drops you into a remote island inhabited by dinosaurs and patrolled by armed mercenaries, meaning you’ll be dodging bullets AND jaws. From the Steam page:

Immerse yourself in a survival FPS adventure. Stranded on a dangerous island, face mercenaries, dinosaurs, and a vibrant yet hostile ecosystem. Explore breathtaking environments and survive the onslaught of intense, fast-paced encounters.

Now the developer OMYOG shares a ton of cool footage via their socials, and I can safely say I have seen at least one clip of the player character petting a velociraptor.

Is this accurate? Heck no. Is this awesome? Very yes.

To coincide with the new gameplay trailer release, FEROCIOUS is actually running a playtest to give the early version of the game a burl and drop some feedback on what you think. If you are interested in doing just that, jump on to the Steam page and request access.

It may just fill that dinosaur-shaped hole inside you, even if just for a little while.

Do you crave some dinosaur action in your gaming lifestyle? Are you wondering where the hell Jurassic Park: Survival is as well? Tell us all about it in the comments or on our social media.
