Kirby And The Forgotten Land Gets A March Release Date

3D cuteness is only a few months away

For the Kirby fans out there 2022 is gonna be an amazing one. It’s the 30th anniversary and we are finally getting a full 3D Kirby game – Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which was announced in a Nintendo Direct last year.

Nintendo has dropped a new trailer for the game today, showing off a bunch of copy abilities, including some new ones, potential mini games (fishing and cafe management?), gatcha collectibles and most importantly a release date.

The trailer description tells us a little of the story in this game. Waddle Dees have been kidnapped by the Beast Pack and it’s up to Kirby to rescue them. There is a huge number of Waddle Dees in the trailer, including a whole town of them. Kirby also seems to have some sort of green flying mouse companion.

The familiar Sword, Bomb, Tornado and Hammer copy abilities are returning in HD glory. This game is looking amazingly pretty so far I gotta say. Two new copy abilities are also shown off – Drill and Ranger. We also get to see a new two-player mode for the first time, where a second player can play as Bandana Waddle Dee.

Last but not least, Kirby and the Forgotten Land will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 25. Check out the trailer for yourself below, its worth a look:
