Massive Monster Confirms That More Crossover Content Is Coming To Cult Of The Lamb

Who will be joining the cult next?

Massive Monster Creative Director Julian Wilton has confirmed that more crossover content will be making its way to Cult of the Lamb in the near future.

We recently sat down to interview Julian ahead of his Keynote Speaker appearance at PAX Aus 2024, where we asked the Massive Monster co-founder if there were any indie titles that the team would like to partner with for a crossover, to which he replied, “Yeah, we’ve got one. And we’re working on it. It’s done. Well, it’s mostly done. I probably shouldn’t tell you that one, either.”

While we couldn’t squeeze any firm details from Julian on which property the Lamb will be crossing over with next, the fact that he was confident enough to say that the content was nearing completion suggests that fans of Cult of the Lamb should keep their heads on a swivel for an announcement sometime soon.

This will be the next in a line of crossovers for the Melbourne-developed roguelike, with the Lamb appearing, in one form or another, in games like Another Crab’s Treasure, Party Animals, Monster Prom and Devolver Tumble Time. It’s not a one-way street, however, as characters and items from the survival game Don’t Starve made their way into Cult of the Lamb in an update last year, so this mysterious new crossover could follow suit.

We love Cult of the Lamb, giving it a rare 10 in our review, saying, “Cult of the Lamb stands as a true masterpiece of not one but two genres. I just couldn’t find any issues that got in the way of my enjoyment of its various mechanics, and the love I have for my clan will continue long past the final boss encounter.”

What indie game would you like to see crossover with Cult of the Lamb next? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
