The mid-year release season is almost upon us, but we need something to get us all across the line. Never fear, our beloved subscription services, which don’t at all devalue games, have our collective backs. PlayStation’s monthly mess of premium-tier titles is a varied one, with a few different vibes going on all at once.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Deluxe members will be updated on May 20, adding ten new titles to these tiers.
PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe
- Sand Land
- Soul Hackers 2
- Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted – Full Time Edition
- Battlefield V
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy
- Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
- Humankind
- Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
- Gloomhaven Mercenaries Edition
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
- Battle Engine Aquila
While this month doesn’t have anything that speaks to me directly, our very own Mark Isaacson can speak to the quality of this month’s headline act, Sand Land. In Mark’s review, he said, “Sand Land manages the tough task of translating an enjoyable story without overdoing the open-world mechanics in the process. It’s rough in places but is a respectful adaptation of Toriyama’s work and a pleasant experience throughout.”
