The Sinking City Remastered Is Available Now

Time to sink some time visiting Oakmont again

Frogwares has surprised fans of The Sinking City by dropping the remastered version today for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Coming as a free upgrade for owners of the game already, The Sinking City Remastered has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, enhancing the original with 4K textures, improved lighting, detail and reflections, support for DLSS, FSR and TSR upscaling, and a photo mode that will let you capture images worthy of Cthulhu.

Originally released in 2019, The Sinking City follows private investigator Charles Reed, who has travelled to Oakmont to look into the what has possessed the city. I reviewed the game when it came out, scoring it an 8, saying “Frogwares expertly blends its Sherlock Holmes gameplay formula with Lovecraft’s universe to create one of the best Lovecraftian experiences in years.”

Frogwares is currently developing The Sinking City 2, which recently finished a super successful Kickstarter campaign, generating €554,002 from a €100,000 goal. The Sinking City 2 is set in an otherworldly Lovecraftian version of the 1920s United States, with Frogwares aiming to make it more of a survival horror experience.
