Over Thirty Minutes Of Marvel Rivals Beta Footage Has Appeared Online

Get a look at how MarvelWatch measures up

For people digging around social media today, they may have stumbled across a neat little treasure trove of Marvel Rivals media, with someone who apparently having access to the Beta client and showcasing what they managed to find.

Via the Santa Ricky X/Twitter account, we can see a showcase of the roster currently available in the game – as well as their existing cosmetic outfits and animations:

The game has an overwhelmingly Overwatch-esque vibe to it, right down to the rundown of characters and how you can customise them – right down to choosing a ‘Play of the Game’ intro in the form of an ‘MVP’ animation.

Where the game differs slightly is having a far more robust learning method for character playstyles, by way of mechanic videos that actually show what these magnificent marvel meeple can do:

The game absolutely seems to be exemplifying the hero-shooter space, with all of the unique characters sporting an impressive kit of abilities. It seems to be more mechanically dense than Overwatch, which has taken a far more shooty approach to it’s moment to moment gameplay since the Overwatch 2 incarnation went live – opposed to Marvel Rivals happily revelling in silliness like Loki clones and angry Hela crows. The ensuing chaos is sure to be one hell of a spectacle.

Sadly the server has since been shut down, meaning this bucket of information is all that one can peruse for now. If you were to head over to the Santa Ricky X/Twitter account, there is a handful of further images – but the real meat and potatoes of the offering is in the videos above.

Are you on board for Marvel Rivals? What do you think of the characters shown so far? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
