Godzilla Stomps Its Way To Dave The Diver May 23

Going fishing with a Kaiju

Godzilla, the great King of the Monsters, is all set to make a cameo appearance as an upcoming free DLC update to (not an indie) Dave the Diver starting May 23.

It’s no simple ‘show up and get paid’ either, according to an update on the Playstation Blog. Godzilla has stumbled into the Blue Hole, Dave’s hunting grounds for fish and treasures, with G-Force in direct pursuit. The great Kaiju simply wants to recover from a series of injuries from a deadly new foe, and it’s up to Dave to aid his unlikely new ally against the fearsome Ebirah.

Hello, I am Godzilla. You’re probably wondering why I’m here…

The DLC pack will be free to download across all platforms Dave the Diver currently resides, though there’s a small catch. The set will be only be available until November 23, after which the pack will vanish from storefronts faster than an atomic breath attack. It’s not clear whether the DLC will remain playable after that date, though hopefully it will so we can be best buddies for years to come.
