Rocksteady Studios has revealed the contents of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s first season of free DLC, including the addition of The Joker as a playable character.
The latest episode of Suicide Squad Insider, Rocksteady’s YouTube series that details the ins and outs of the upcoming co-op action game, focuses on the game’s post-launch content. For better or worse, Suicide Squad is a live service title, and will therefore feature regular seasonal content drops. We now know there are four planned seasons, each set to introduce a new playable character, new environments, boss fights, weapons and activities.
The first free content drop is scheduled for a March release and will be based on the new playable character, The Joker. Spoilers for Batman: Arkham City, but The Joker in the Arkhamverse had his last laugh some five years ago, but death is just an easy narrative obstacle to overcome. Playing around with the Elseworlds concept (multiverse), The Joker will join the squad with a set of unique abilities, including his own traversal style that’s based around a rocket-powered umbrella.
