More fun film news is ramping up in anticipation of San Diego Comic Con 2024 – this time a fun featurette has been released to showcase our homegrown Aussie hero Chris Hemsworth (a.k.a The Mighty Thor or Kim Hyde from Home and Away) as he embodies the big metallic boots of the top dog Optimus Prime in the upcoming Transformers One film.
This is released alongside a groovy new poster that provides a closer look at some of the supporting characters within the film, with a proper gaze at the duplicitous Starscream and the fantastically under appreciated Airachnid (who is both a spider AND a helicopter, obviously):
AHHH IT'S SO CLOSE!!!

It’s a big step in a new direction for the long suffering franchise of massive transforming robots – charting new waters into a wholly animated territory, and very likely a shift in audience expectations. Gone are the puerile goofs and loud explosions of the Michael Bay days, instead opting for a younger audience and a slightly more wholesome attitude.
From the description:
TRANSFORMERS ONE is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.
This could well be the first step on a new journey for the Transformers – with a whole new generation of fans meeting them for the very first time.
