We’re only a scant few weeks away from the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film, but a second trailer is here to make sure everyone is up to speed (heh) on what is going on in the world of thrills and quills.
Showing off further examples of hot Sonic Adventure 2 action, we get to see Shadow teaming up with the scientist Gerald Robotnik – hammed up to perfection by Jim Carrey as a twin role – but most importantly, we see Shadow the Hedgehog whip out his signature weapon: A freakin’ GUN.
From what has been shown so far, it’s clear that the threequel is very much running on the same juice as the first two films, filled with high octane action and oddly charming game-accurate silliness. It’s crazy to think that in just a few short years since this abomination seared our eyeballs, we are somehow sitting on top of a Sonic cinematic universe with far more hits than misses.
There’s plenty to be excited about in Sonic 3, for fans of all Sonic related media – even the untimely death of chronically ill children. If that is a reference you don’t understand, fear not: It very much looks like this film as you covered, for better or for worse.
