Pokemon Presents February 2021 – Gen 4 Remakes And Open World Game In 2022!

Open. World. Pokemon. HECK YEAH!

For a number of years now Pokémon Day has been accompanied by a Pokèmon Presents live stream and this year is no different. Here is our recap of the 20-minute presentation:

  • We start with a cute overlook of all of the tech, games, and collectibles that have released throughout the years!
  • Next, we get a new trailer for New Pokémon Snap.  Ride the Neo1 through the jungle, desert, and even under the sea and it looks stunning. The Lentil region is waiting for us to explore it on April 30
  • It’s happening! Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remake!!  Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are coming to the Switch in late 2021
  • The Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes are being handled by ILCA who did Pokémon Home and the Pokémon Company. The scale between the character and the world is maintained through the cute chibi art style
  • Pokémon enters a new era in… an open-world Pokémon Game?!?! Pokèmon Legends Arceus releases in early 2022
  • Pokémon Legends Arceus represents a brand new approach for the Pokèmon series. It is set in the Sinnoh region of old and God Pokémon Arceus plays a critical role. Just like old games you catch and battle Pokemon but in an open-world action RPG. It looks friggin amazing! What a huge jump forward!

If you haven’t seen it for yourself check out the trailer below:

Wowza. Did not expect to see that, so much progression! Well done Pokemon Company! Happy 25 Anniversary everyone!
