Horizon Forbidden West Reportedly Delayed To 2022

Another big name moves to 2022

PlayStation has delayed the launch of Horizon Forbidden West from late holiday 2021 to 2022, according to a report first published by Bloomberg.

Back in June, PlayStation studio boss Hermen Hulst said in a PlayStation Blog post that “For Horizon, we think we are on track to release this holiday season. But that isn’t quite certain yet, and we’re working as hard as we can to confirm that to you as soon as we can.”

While PlayStation hasn’t made any official statements, it’s not a huge surprise given the number of delays we’ve already seen this year as a result of the ongoing challenges of developing games from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While delays are always a bummer, ultimately it’s the best thing for the game, and while we have to wait a little longer to get our hands on Aloy’s next adventure, we know it’s going to be worth it.

Horizon Forbidden West will launch on PS5 and PS4 in 2022.
