Publisher Private Divison and developer Wētā Workshop have released the first trailer for Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, which will be released later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC.
Announced last year during Hobbit Day (which is a thing, apparently), Tales of the Shire is a cute life sim developed by Wētā Workshop’s internal game studio. While it’s been all quiet on the Gonodorian front since its reveal, we finally have a trailer showing us the wholesome Hobbit Hole decorating, gardening and cooking that will be on offer. I can’t say that it looks cozy, James will never forgive me, but it definitely looks like a game that would be best enjoyed with some bread, cheese and a glass of Old Winyards wine.
