Dying Light 2’s Story Can Be Completed In About 20 Hours Clarifies Techland

Not quite the slog we first thought

After news broke over the weekend that it would take 500 hours to complete everything in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, people were understandably frustrated. Games are coming out thick and fast these days, and even one that demands 50+ hours is a tall task when you have Elden RingHorizon Forbidden West and Destiny‘s latest expansion releasing a couple of weeks after.

However, Techland has today clarified that completing the story in Dying Light 2 will take around 20 hours to complete, whereas completing all side quests and engaging with all characters in the world can take upwards of 80 hours.

Now that I know Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s story can be completed within a reasonable timeframe, I am not worried about the game suffering from padding and open-world fatigue, at least when it comes to the campaign anyway.

What do you make of Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s length? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
