After news broke over the weekend that it would take 500 hours to complete everything in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, people were understandably frustrated. Games are coming out thick and fast these days, and even one that demands 50+ hours is a tall task when you have Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West and Destiny‘s latest expansion releasing a couple of weeks after.
However, Techland has today clarified that completing the story in Dying Light 2 will take around 20 hours to complete, whereas completing all side quests and engaging with all characters in the world can take upwards of 80 hours.

Now that I know Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s story can be completed within a reasonable timeframe, I am not worried about the game suffering from padding and open-world fatigue, at least when it comes to the campaign anyway.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human releases on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch (via Cloud) and PC on February 4.
