It’s been a while since we’ve had a Nintendo Direct, with the last one way back in June during E3. With the release of Nintendo’s new OLED Switch model and Metroid Dread on the horizon, it seems like perfect timing to have a Nintendo Direct to show off games that players can expect over the next few months. It seems Nintendo agreed, with the GameCube manufacturer announcing that a Nintendo Direct would be taking place this Friday morning (September 24) at 8am AEST (6am AWST).
The Direct will go live for approximately 40 minutes of Nintendo-y goodness. There will be a focus on games releasing this summer so hopefully we will find out what Father Nintendo will be putting under the Christmas tree this year.

Rumours have been circulating that we will be getting something new with Nintendo Switch Online as a new controller patent has been submitted similar to when the NES and SNES controllers were announced previously. Hopefully it will amount to something and we will find out on Friday.
If you cant catch the live stream make sure you check back here for our recap of the Direct!
