Nintendo has announced that a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and an Indie World Showcase will take place back-to-back on August 28 at 12 a.m. AEST.
As Nintendo usually does, the news of these showcases has dropped less than 24 hours before they are set to take place. Not content with a single direct, these two presentations will run one after the other, with the Indie World Showcase doing the honours first. In total, the entire presentation is set to go for roughly 40 minutes and, while we don’t know what games will be in attendance, we do know what we won’t be seeing.
As is par for the course for Nintendo, the post announcing these showcases was quickly followed by a comment stating that ” there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during either of these presentations.” In case you randomly got your hopes up that the Super Switch would be revealed right after Generic Square Enix Farming Sim 7.
If you’re planning on staying up for the event, why not take a wander through the site, read a bunch of news articles, reviews and features before coming back here to watch the double showcase:
What are you hoping to see during this double dip of Nintendo? Is it another farming sim? Tell me how out of pocket my Square Enix comment was, validating it in the processes, in the comments or on our social media.
