A Plague Tale: Requiem Will Last 15-18 Hours And Has No Filler Says Lead Level Designer

In for a longer time and a great time (we hope)

The release of A Plague Tale: Requiem is less than a month away, with the highly-anticipated sequel landing on October 18.

As is the order of the day, developers from Asobo Studio have been chatting to the press about the game to build a little more hype for the title. Kevin Pinson, the Lead Level Designer of A Plague Tale: Requiem, recently spoke with PLAY Magazine and the game’s length came up. Pinson revealed that Requiem should take players between 15–18 hours to finish and that the studio hasn’t padded out the experience with filler.

“It’s about pacing, there’s no filler, there’s no trying to make it longer because we needed to. Our publisher Focus Interactive encourages us to do the length that we want to do for the game for the story we want to tell. So we’re not aiming for a specific amount of hours. This is not something that we take into account when we first design the game. We are a small team of 70 people so we have to be really drastic about our choices.”

According to How Long to Beat, it took players 10.5 hours to complete the main story in A Plague Tale: Innocence, so Requiem is shaping to be a beefier experience.

What do you make of the length of A Plague Tale: Requiem? Let us know in the comments or on social media.

A Plague Tale: Requiem releases on October 18 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
