Aussie CRPG Broken Roads Announces It Will Release In November

True blue and coming to you

For those of us fiending to set foot into the sunburnt soil of Broken Roads, today has delivered a fantastic bit of news.

Taking to their social media offerings, Drop Bear Bytes has deployed a date for initial release – detailing that Broken Roads will be releasing on PC, Xbox One & Xbox Series X/S on November 14.

It is a game that has had a slow burn development, clearly taking the time to really simmer and deliver a stellar stew. Every preview has showcased a deeply impressive level of detail to make the morally-flexible tale a showstopper – and to add another feather to the cap of fantastic Aussie games.

In our preview, our very own James Wood mentioned that it is an authentically Australian vision of a classic game style that deploys nuanced character work, forefronts player agency and just crackles with aesthetic charm and detail – an endorsement that speaks volumes to how it is shaping up.

One thing of note is the missing PlayStation dates in the announcement, but the Broken Roads team were happy to comment that they are “working on that”, so no need to fret just yet. They even say that additional platform info is coming soon, so a little patience isn’t too much to spare.

Hope to catch you drongos in November – let’s all celebrate just how awesome Aussie game development has grown to be.
