Aussie Grand Strategy Game Solium Infernum Gets An Extra Week To Prepare For Hell

Hell is only a stone’s throw away

Initially slated for February 14, Australian indie developer League Of Geeks is granting themselves an additional week to get Solium Infernum in an ideal state for launch. Now dropping on February 22, the 4X strategy title is getting a little love extra at the eleventh hour.

Folks who have their fingers in a few separate multiplayer matches courtesy of the current playtests on Steam are encouraged to get a wriggle on as servers will be going down at the end of the week. It is reported that over 4000 players across 400 matches were involved in the latest playtest, giving the team extra feedback to tighten the final product.

Despite multiplayer being the beating heart of the Solium Infernum experience, the official launch will also see the addition of single-player skirmishes and the Chronicles mode. This latter mode more closely resembles the classic, narrative-driven episodic missions that will streamline the onboarding experience for this dense political strategy title. This will also be a great way to get familiar with the game’s throne-jostling archfiends, an innovation in League Of Geek’s reimagining of the lauded 2009 original.

Solium Infernum launches on February 22 for PC.
