Earlier today, Melbourne’s Summerfall Studios and Humble Games announced that its upcoming musical game Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical will launch on PC on August 3.

The news was dropped alongside a new trailer during today’s showcase, which featured appearances from cast members including Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, composer Austin Wintory and creative director David Gaider. The event gave players a look at how Stray Gods was brought to life, live performances, as well as new cast and character reveals, which include Janina Gavankar as Freddie, Khary Payton as Pan, Ashley Johnson as Calliope, Felicia Day as Athena, Abubakar Salim as Eros, Rahul Kohli as Minotaur, Allegra Clark as Hecate, Merle Dandridge as Aphrodite, Erika Ishii as Hermes, Lauren ‘Lolo’ Spencer as Venus, Anjali Bhimani as Medusa, Kimberly Brooks as Oracle and Anthony Rapp as Orpheus.

Set in a modern fantasy world where Greek Gods live among everyone else, Stray Gods sees players take on the role of Grace, a college dropout who has somehow acquired the power of a Muse – a power she’ll need to learn the truth behind her predecessor’s death. Players will need to make choices and belt out tunes while helping Grace find her voice and the answers she seeks, and maybe a lover along the way.
