It’s not really much of a surprise after the last couple of years, but the sequel to Breath of the Wild has fallen victim to further delays.
In a message from Eiji Aonuma himself, the highly desired sequel has been pushed back until Autumn 2023. This delay is to give the development team more time to work on this game to make it something special.
Aonuma mentions in the video a number of details we have heard before – that the game will be in the same world as BOTW as well as in the skies, but he also mentions that the experience will be even wider including new encounters and gameplay elements. We also get a look at the Master Sword, which appears to have gone through the wars since we last saw it. As well as a little bit more of a look at Link’s arm which is likely been corrupted in some way.
