After a tumultuous development cycle that has seen three different development houses handle the project, Dead Island 2 was set to launch on February 3 before pushed back to April 28 for a little extra polishing. But now players will able dive into Dambuster’s version of post-apocalyptic LA one week earlier.
I went hands-on with Dead Island 2 a couple months ago and enjoyed my time, saying that “Dambuster has seemingly crafted a sandbox full of fun and visceral ways to tackle the zombie outbreak.”
Dead Island 2 releases on April 21, 2023, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (via Epic Games Store).
