Dragon Quest 1-3 Switch Ports Are Heading West, Same Day As Dragon Quest XI S

Get your quest on

September 27 already has a Dragon Quest game lined up – Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition – one of the most anticipated JRPGs of the year and an original NX announcement title.

While Dragon Quest XI is sure to take up plenty of time, Square Enix have announced that the first three Dragon Quest games (Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II – Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III – The Seeds of Salvation) are coming to the West and to console for the first time in Europe on the Nintendo Switch.

All three games, which are purchasable individually, will be releasing on September 27, the same day that Dragon Quest XI will debut on the Nintendo Switch. If you were hoping to net a physical copy of the Dragon Quest Trilogy, it appears in the West that you will be out of luck, meaning that at the moment your best bet would be to import it from Japan.

Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II – Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III – The Seeds of Salvation are all slated for release alongside Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch on September 27.
