DreamHack Festival’s Students Day Will Have Resources To Kickstart Your Career In Gaming

Learn and play

In September the DreamHack Festival is making its way to Australia for the first time, giving Australian gamers and content creators a chance to experience the world-renowned event in Melbourne.

The festival has today announced that DreamHack Students Day will be taking place on September 2, and will feature a number of resources that students can utilise to see what a career in gaming may look like.

Resources will include several panels from industry professionals that will cover topics such as, working in esports/getting a job in esports, online safety and social media, university pathways to the esports industry, life As a content creator, and community esports showcase (including students playing on stage & student commentators).

“Gaming and esports is the fastest growing industry in the world, and we want to make sure the next generation of students interested in pursuing a career here are well prepared for the industry, and a life after competitive play,” said Ben Green, Senior Product Manager at ESL Australia.

DreamHack Festival is taking place from September 2-4 at Melbourne’s Olympic Park venues, with Students Day happening on September 2 (Friday). Students who wish to attend can grab tickets with prices from $30 for children or $50 for adults. Schools and education institutions who wish to bulk purchase tickets can get in contact with the team to discuss discounts. For more information click here.
