Developer Tech land has announced that Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed and will now release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 19.
It was only last month during Summer Game Fest that we learned the spinoff sequel to Dying Light would be launching in August, and now that’s not the case at all.
In the statement from Techland announcing the game’s delay, the developer mentions that the positive sentiments within recent previews led the decision to push back the launch.
“It has always been our goal to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we’ve ever released. To honor this promise, we’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work.”
We have made the decision to push back the release of Dying Light: The Beast to September 19. This additional time will allow us to work on crucial feedback we received during playtests, and preview events.

The delay is a short one, with last-minute polish being the primary focus, so it’s unlikely we’ll see this new September date get pushed around any further.
The Beast is a standalone adventure in the Dying Light series, picking up after the events of the first game. Playing as original protagonist, Kyle Crane, players will enjoy the parkour movement and melee action the series is known for, with some added abilities thanks to Kyle’s new…affliction.
