Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Is A Single-Player Horror Game Coming From Saber Interactive

Developer Saber Interactive has revealed Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, an in-development survival horror game coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Like extradimensional demons summoned by a puzzle box, Saber Interative has appeared out of thin air to reveal a video game adaptation of the body horror film series that began in the late 80s. Described as a survival action horror game, Hellraiser: Revival will be played in first-person, getting the player up close and personal with a range of grotesque imagery and gruesome violence. The trailer depicts a couple getting busy before using the Genesis Configuration to summon the Cenobites, led by the infamous Pinhead.

After this raunchy business, we get a brief look at some gameplay, which includes melee combat with a variety of weapons, stalking enemies that look to be pursuing the player, and lots and lots of gross shit happening to what were once humans. If you’re really keen, you can head to the Hellraiser: Revival website to watch a redband trailer that features 100% more nipple and way more of the aforementioned gross shit.

Looking at the game’s Steam page, it seems like players will take on the role of the poor woman’s boyfriend who, seemingly, had to watch her have her soul…torn apart. “Play the story of Aidan, who must use the power of a mysterious puzzle box – the Genesis Configuration – to help his girlfriend Sunny’s escape from the otherworldly hellscape of the Labyrinth.”

We don’t have any release date info to speak of yet, but seeing bits of gameplay already is making me optimistic that it won’t be a drastically long wait until we can get our hands on this one.
