EA Sports FC Empires, a mobile game where players create their own football empire, has launched as a free download on Android and iOS platforms today in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
Featuring a roster of over 4000 players from leagues like the Premier League, Bundesliga and LA LIGA, FC Empires challenges players to create their own footballing legacy by taking on a number of roles and responsibilities, such as being a club owner and building infrastructure and facilities and ensuring club growth, and a coach to ensure that players reach their potential. Players can also join forces with one another to form guilds to participate in PvE and PvP events.
We were able to chat with members of the development team via a roundtable interview alongside Aussie outlets Press Start and Stevivor, with the devs confirming that the game will feature microtransactions of some sort, women’s leagues and players will not be in the game at launch, although they may come later down the track, and players will not have to maintain their stadiums or other buildings, allowing them to focus on the fun parts of football management.
If you want to check out FC Empires, you can download it via your phone’s app store: iOS/App Store | Android/Google Play Store
