EA Withdraws Its Trademark For The Word “Ghost”

Guess Ubisoft must have… *wait for it…* spooked them.

Discovered by a forum member over at NeoGaf, it appears as if a trademark previously held by EA on the word “Ghost,” in relation to EA‘s Ghost Games (the developers of the new Need For Speed game), has been withdrawn due to Ubisoft disputing it. Ubisoft claimed this trademark would be confusing as it is in relation to Ubisoft’s shooter series, Ghost Recon. The official action against the trademark was originally taken on January 29
