Overwatch Contenders’ eight mighty regions will face off in inter-regional tournaments for the first time, with teams battling via a pair of live Showdown events later this year, and featuring double-elimination-style brackets. The Atlantic Showdown will take place the following week from 1-3 June. Teams in the two North American regions, as well as Europe and South America, will also be participating in that tournament.
The Top performing regions from the Showdown events will then send teams from Contenders 2019 Season 2 to the Gauntlet, which will take place from 11-14 October following the conclusion of the upcoming 2019 Overwatch League season.
