The long awaited second Do You Even Game Bro? FIFA Tournament is upon us and this one looks to be really special. We’ve got some veterans from the last tourney and some new faces trying to prove they are the greatest FIFA player among us. This time around we’ve changed the rules ever so slightly so keep reading for all the tournament details, rules and regulations.
We have 12 brave souls vying for the chance to be the DYEGB FIFA 16 champion with the overall winner receiving a highly coveted article on this very website. Within that article will be the story of one man’s road to glory; who he beat and how as well as any trials and tribulations will be retold to be forever called upon when his FIFA credentials are in question. How the tournament will work will be no different to any other football competition, there will be a group stage, two knockout stages and a Cup Final. Below is an image of the groups, each player must play the other players twice with the top two going through to the knockouts. In the event of a tie in the group stages the two players with the greater GD will go through.

Once we get to the knockout stages the format will be as per the below table (click to enlarge)
Now for the boring rules bit:
- All matches to be played in full, online squads to be used, 6 minute halves
- In the group stage and first knockout round players are restricted to using 3 star teams and below
- In the Semi Final stage players are restricted to 4 star teams and below
- Any team may be used for the Cup Final
- At the end of each game BOTH players must screen capture the match facts as evidence of a result and send them via email to Jason@dyegb.net or John@dyegb.net
- Failure to send in the match facts will result in a forfeit
- All disputes will be resolved by a fight to the death IRL
- Any further rules that present themselves will be dealt with at the time by Jason Shegog or John Gray
