Final Fantasy XIV – Patch 3.3 Details

New dungeons, Quests and Yo-Kai Watch!

Final Fantasy XIV producer and director, Naoki Yoshida revealed the latest content update for the hugely successful MMORPG. Here is a recap on the announced news.

Patch 3.3 – Revenge of the Horde will bring exciting and new challenges including new dungeons to explore as well as the introduction of new beast tribe quests that involve Moogles and dragons!

The Aquapolis dungeon has an entrance that will appear randomly when uncovering dragonskin maps and up to eight players will be able to enter as a party.  Clearing out the enemies will earn explorers some nice rewards and they may also find something hording treasure down there….

The Deep Dungeon – Palace of the Dead is a new type of content making its debut in Final Fantasy XIV. It features an independent progression system starting from level 1. This dungeon can be explored solo, or in a group of up to four adventurers. Players must wield and strengthen their special, glowing weapon as they delve deeper and deeper into The Palace of the Dead, but beware as some “special” bosses will be lurking in the dark.

Yoshida also discussed further content updates including new housing additions, a new map for PvP mode, Frontlines known as Fields of Glory (Shatter), new side quests and the final chapter of the Dragonssong war! The addition of the Raid Finder will allow you to set various requirements to join.

Also announced during this special Letter from the producer LIVE was an exciting collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Level-5’s Yo-Kai Watch. Players will be able to collect Yo-Kai themed weapons, minions as well as a new mount! Stayed tuned for more information coming soon.
