Daedalic Entertainment and One-O-One Games have announced Curse of the Crimson Stag, a folk horror adventure coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC later in 2026.
Revealed at Nacon Connect, the story follows teenager Brit, who, feeling stuck in her hometown, takes an opportunity to partake in the making of a documentary for the abandoned Whiteroot Hotel. However, what starts as a life-changing experience descends into a fight for survival as the hotel’s dark past threatens comes to light. Locals believe an entity known as the Crimson Stag is connected, and Brit is hoping to find answers.
Curse of the Crimson Stag was originally revealed as The Fading of Nicole Wilson last year before the game vanished from Steam. The two titles share some details, however most have been revised for the game’s title change.
