Forever Skies Is Coming To Steam Early Access Later This Month

Take to the skies soon

Developer Far From Home has announced that the survival game Forever Skies will be releasing on Steam Early Access on June 23.

Taking place on a post-apocalyptic Earth that’s dilapidated and covered in a thick, toxic mist, Forever Skies is a first-person survival game that will have players exploring, scavenging and building in order to survive while piecing together a plot that involves mysterious viruses and the downfall of humanity. A unique twist comes with the inclusion of your own airship, a mobile base and vehicle that’s created, enhanced and maintained by the player.

Alongside the announcement, a new trailer has dropped, detailing the game’s plot and features, like crafting and exploration. You can watch the launch date trailer here:

As you’ll likely know, the game releasing in early access means that it’ll still be in active development, so don’t expect a complete, polished package on day one. In saying that, we got a chance to preview the game back in September, and we came away from it with some high hopes.

In our preview, we said, “My time with Forever Skies was brief, but very enjoyable. A delicious taste of a cake that I am incredibly keen to devour when it finally appears in front of me. If you liked SubnauticaGreen Hell, The Forest, Ark: Survival Evolved, Chernobylite or anything similar, you should be very excited for your upcoming adventure.”
