A group of like-minded Australian video game personalities have partnered with Screen Australia to create Frosty Games Fest, a showcase that will spotlight games developed by Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand developers.
Set to debut in June 2025, Frosty Games Fest will be livestreamed during Summer Game Fest week, focusing on the creativity and talent that our two countries have to offer in the gaming space.
Frosty Game Fest was first conceptualised by video game marketing veteran Amy Potter, with the expanded team behind the event now consisting of familiar name to the industry, such as Lucy Mutimer, Pritika Sachdev and WellPlayed’s very own Kieron Verbrugge. The event is made possible thanks to the support of Screen Australia’s Games Event Fund, allowing ANZ’s greatest upcoming and recently released games to be broadcast on a global stage.
An Aussie made event about ANZ made games, Frosty Games Fest will air at an Australian-friendly hour, which will be surreal for all of us used to setting alarms at ungodly hours to watch showcases live. To keep up to date with announcements and start times, head over to the Frosty Games Fest website and sign up to the mailing list.
You can also keep up to date via the Frosty Games Fest Instagram and X accounts if your partial to a doom scroll.
