Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Open Beta Dates Announced

First Jon Bernthal, now Lil’ Wayne? This game is star studded

With the October 4th release of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint closing in quickly, dates for the games open beta have just been announced. You will be able to jump into Breakpoint from September 26th-30th on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Pre-loading will be available for PS4, Xbox One and Uplay from 8am AEST on September 24th, with the Epic Games Store following the next day at 1am on September 25th.

The closed beta, exclusive to those who preordered the game, took place earlier this month, with the open beta being slightly different in terms of content. The open beta will include 3 additional main story missions, 2 new regions (bringing the total number of accessible regions to 6) and will also offer up a look at a competitive mode. The mode on show is called Ghost War, a 4v4 elimination mode that will be playable across 4 maps during the beta. If you are on the fence about Breakpoint and need some hands-on time to make a decision, or just had a good time during the closed beta and want to play more, this will be your chance.

Atop this news, Ubisoft has also released a new, live-action trailer for Breakpoint that really is something else. Featuring Lil’ Wayne and being directed by David Leitch (Hobbs and Shaw, Deadpool 2), this is one of those trailers that I can decide whether it is absolute gold or a cringey mess, maybe it’s both. Either way it is well and truly worth experiencing for yourself, Give it a look:
