GreedFall Is The New Game From The Technomancer Developer

Looking for a 17th century European Baroque art inspired RPG? Well you’re in luck

French development team Spiders – who have once again teamed up with publisher Focus Home Interactive – have announced their newest IP, GreedFall, with an eye-catching, albeit, brief reveal trailer.

The game’s official description is as follows:

Explore a fresh new world as you set foot―alongside many other settlers, mercenaries, and treasure hunters―on a remote island seeping with magic, rumored to be filled with riches and lost secrets. A grand journey filled with mystery follows as you find yourself in the middle of ever-increasing tensions between the invading settlers and the locals protected by supernatural beings―manifestations of the island’s earthly magic.

GreedFall aims for a very unique visual identity, inspired by Baroque art from 17th century Europe, depicting grandiose scenery in muted warm colors and dark undertones.

Although Spiders haven’t always hit the ball out of the park with their previous games, GreedFall does look as if it will be a step up from last year’s lacklustre The Technomancer and is a game that we will have our eyes on.

GreedFall has a tentative release date of 2018 and will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
