One of the most unique and interesting projects I came across at PAX Aus 2018 was a service called HEART2GAME, which crafts custom-made gaming experiences for loved ones or friends as gifts.
HEART2GAME (H2G) is a service run by the Sydney-based company Amelus Digital. During a chance meeting at Australia’s biggest gaming convention, Jackson Frew, the director and founder of Amelus gave me a rundown of the H2G service, and while I confess to having never heard of it previously, it is something that is now well and truly on my map because of how unique (the only service of its kind) and awesome it sounds.
At its core, H2G allows a person to gift another person, whether it be your partner, a family member or friend, hell even your pet, a game featuring them as the protagonist. Generally, these are short platforming experiences with obstacles and other important characters (people in your life). However, H2G does offer a number of packages should customers wish to expand their personal experience.
Previously these custom experiences were limited to romantic gestures, however H2G has expanded its offerings and can now tailor the experience to any occasion. Want to show your mother just how much she means to you for Mother’s Day? Order her her own platforming game to do so.
H2G offers four different packages for people to choose between, starting at $169.99, and ordering easy as filling out a form online with your information.
- Basic Package: At $169.99, our most affordable Basic Package offers a 10-15 minute platforming experience to the recipient. Combat functionality is an added extra and includes two custom characters.
- Heart Package: our second-tier Heart Package is similar to the Basic Package, but offers an expanded choice of options including narrative selection, combat and an increased base allowance for custom characters.
- SUPER Heart Package: At $989.99, the SUPER Heart Package grants an even more upgraded, 15-20 minute experience. This includes all elements featured in the Heart Package, and also allows the player full control of the narrative, location selection, genre selection. Additionally, players have an increased base allowance for custom characters.
- GRAND Heart Package: Starting at $1,729.99, our highest-tier GRAND Heart Package offers the most extensive allowance of custom characters, location choices, full control of narrative and full control of genre.
