Hello Sunshine Is A Co-Op Survival Mystery RPG From Red Thread Games

This one looks like it could be a scorcher

Red Thread Games has announced its newest title Hello Sunshine, a co-op mystery survival RPG that’s coming soon to PC.

The premise sees players as the final employee of the fallen Sunshine Corporation, whose legacy is a scorched wasteland where only warring machines remain. Ensuring your survival is your robot companion, whose towering frame will shade you from the burning sun as you make your way to the tower where answers will be found and fate decided.

But while the days are hot, the nights are just as cold, and you’ll need to rely on your robot’s warmth as it charges, which is also a great time to cook some dins, craft new gear and upgrade your existing equipment. But you’ll need to keep an eye out for any visitors – not everyone is who they seem.

Your relationship with your machine mate is just as important as its condition, so not only will you need to bond, but you’ll have to perform repairs and upgrades to ensure it sees out the journey.

So how does co-op work? Ripped from the game’s Steam page is the below description.

“Team up with a friend (or workmate) to experience the journey from different perspectives. Coordinate scavenging runs, trade resources, and explore how your peculiar partnership shapes the unfolding narrative.”

Red Thread Games has previously developed Dreamfall ChaptersDraugen and recently the divisive Dustborn.

As a big fan of the studio’s work, Hello Sunshine has gone straight onto my most anticipated list, and given that’s it’s coming soon, hopefully we don’t have to wait too long before it’s in our hands.

Do you think Hello Sunshine sounds like something you’d play? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
