Horizon Zero Dawn‘s PC port is a little over a week away (launching on August 7) and the system requirements have finally been revealed. The game has enjoyed a very successful life as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 ecosystem, with a variety of upgrades and optimisations made for the enhanced PS4 Pro version of the game. Given how immaculately it ran on Sony’s Boeing 747 in a box the PS4, you’d expect the minimum requirements to be on the lower end, and you’d be right! The recommended specs are also pretty achievable, but are considerably higher than the minimum specs.

While neither Guerrilla Games nor Sony have discussed what performance people should expect by rocking the recommended specs, the trailers on the Steam page show just how flexible it will be as a port, which gives credence to positive things overall, especially when you factor in the standard of optimisation set by Sony’s first party studios.
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition is launching for PC on both Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 7. It includes the base game and its expansion, The Frozen Wilds, and in game packs and gear from the Carja, Banuk and Nora tribes. It is also worth noting that the Steam store listing mentions a digital art book while the EGS listing does not.
