Huawei Launches The GT 3 Series Watch In Australia

Time to get fit

Huawei has today launched the third iteration of its GT smart and fitness watch series – the GT 3 – in Australia.

The GT 3 Series launch is comprised of two models: the Huawei Watch GT 3 and the Huawei Watch GT Runner. The Huawei Watch GT 3 is available in both 42mm and 46mm wristband sizes and utilises the company’s HarmonyOS 2.1 while supporting both Android and iOS devices. When it comes to colours, consumers can grab the GT 3 42mm in black (silicon strap), white (leather band) or gold (Milanese strap), while the 46mm comes in either black (silicon strap) or brown (leather band). The GT Runner will be available in 46mm with a black silicon strap.

When it comes to features each model varies, with the GT 3 42mm having a seven-day battery life of typical usage, whereas the 46mm has up to 14 days of juice as does the GT Runner. Both models utilise Huawei’s new TruSeen 5.0+ heart rate monitoring technology, which alongside curved design allows for better light penetration, lower power consumption and a more comfortable wearing experience.

The watch face features an AMOLED screen, stainless steel casing and plastic on the bottom, with the 46mm GT 3 weighing in at 42.6 grams and 38.5 grams for the GT Runner.

As a health and wellbeing device, the GT 3 is jam-packed with over 100 workout modes, meaning that there will be a workout for everyone, whether you’re a fitness freak, working your way back or starting your health and fitness journey.

The Huawei GT 3 Series will be available from JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Amazon, Mobileciti and the Huawei Experience Store. It’s worth nothing that not all retailers will have all models available. Any purchase of a GT 3 Series watch between now and April 20, 2022, will come will a $50 gift card.

I’ve been using the GT 3 42mm for a little under a week and so far I’m enjoying it. I’ll have more to share at a later date when I’ve had ample time to use the device and get (hopefully) get fit.
