Immortals Of Aveum Has Been Delayed Into August

A short wait

Developer Ascendant Studios has announced that its debuted title, Immortals of Aveum, has been delayed and will now release on August 22.

Breaking the news via a blog post on the studio’s website, studio founder Bret Robbins revealed that the magical first-person shooter required a few extra weeks of development in order to “deliver a strong launch.”

“The recent feedback to the game proves to us what we already felt: that Immortals of Aveum is something special,” Robbins says. “In order to realize our full vision, we are going to take a few extra weeks, making our new launch date Tuesday, August 22nd. This will give us time to further polish the game, finish optimizing all platforms, and deliver a strong launch. We owe it to ourselves and to you to get this right.”

The fast-paced shooter has received a huge marketing push over the last few months, recently showing up at the PlayStation Showcase and Summer Game Fest.

We recently attended a hands-off preview for Immortals of Aveum, coming away with mainly positive feelings towards the game, saying that “Combat looks to be a blast, an expressive mix of offensive and defensive spell casting with buttery smooth camera work and some neat puzzles to shake up the pacing of the game. There’s also the raw star power of the game’s cast, but all that charisma and impressive combat will hopefully be in service of a world that has more to say than what we’ve seen so far.”
