Posters over on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit started sharing information about the game, with copies of the game appearing up for sale on various websites for hundreds of dollars.

Some people who gained pre-launch access to the title have uploaded the contents of the cartridge to pirate sites, allowing others to download and play the game via emulation. Some even attempted streamed their playthrough before being suspended, while others began sifting through the files to see what information they could datamine.

The leak will no doubt have Nintendo’s lawyers licking their lips as they look to identify who the offenders are. However, it’s another nightmare situation for players excited for game, who also had to suffer through The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild leaking early.

For a lot of people, Tears of the Kingdom is their most anticipated game of the year, so it’s going to be a tough couple of weeks trying to avoid spoilers when the floodgates have opened.
