Team17 and Swedish developer Wych Elm have announced that their upcoming David Lynch-inspired side-scrolling survival horror game Silver Pines will land on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 9 (October 8 globally).
The release date was announced during the Horror Game Awards’ Midsummer Night’s Scream showcase, where it was also revealed that a demo was now available on Steam, allowing players to check out the game before release.
Arriving in the titular and mostly desolate town of Silver Pines, private investigator Red Walker finds himself looking for missing musician Eddie Velvet. However, it’s not long before the town’s dark past starts to show, turning Red’s search into a fight for survival in what Wych Elm says is a “love letter to classic survival horror.”
I’m lucky enough to have played Silver Pines already, and it’s bloody good. It was already one of my most anticipated games of 2026, but after going hands-on, I have no doubt that it is going to be an absolute banger. For me, October 9 can’t come fast enough. If you’re a fan of horror games, then I highly recommend you check out the demo.
