Just a short while ago we were made aware of a new face coming to Overwatch, and today we get to put a name to the face.
Sierra is a new operative assisting the Overwatch team, taking on a solo mission to intercept Talon and protect Watchpoint: Grand Mesa from both Emre and Freja.
Things may not go according to plan, but the outcome is far from bad:
Managing to bait two enemy ultimates AND live to tell the tale is no mean feat, even if Emre should realise it isn’t actually his hero trailer.
Ability wise, we finally get an idea of what she is capable of. A tracking dart seems to turn her gun into a heat-seeking burst rifle, while her drone is capable of taking a grapple and relocating her. I am excited to see that she isn’t actually packing some kind of sniper rifle, I am tired of being nuked from far far away by sharpshooters.
No ultimate ability to be seen just yet, so it seems people will need to wait a little longer in anticipation of her 14th April release date, alongside the Overwatch 2026 Season 2 patch. Maybe her drone does something cool? I will be keen to learn more when a gameplay trailer finds its way into my life.
